The internship program at PA Health Management is designed so that interns develop stronger professional skills while experiencing our culture and engaging with our team, managers and executives. Interns take soft and hard skills learned in the classroom to a professional sphere where they can be practiced and enhanced with real-world experiences and offers students an opportunity to work alongside professionals in the healthcare management industry.
PA Health Management firmly believes that Public Education is vital to assist individuals to live a healthy and safe life in our community, to reduce unplanned hospital and nursing home placements, and to improve health outcomes. Education empowers individuals by helping them understand supports available that can be tailored to their specific needs or those of their family and friends, which helps mitigate challenges faced as unique health and safety concerns arise.
There is a need for greater public education on the resources, services and supports available to individuals and their families seeking assistance. Through our volunteer program, PA Health Management strives to provide information, education and awareness to assist the population of individuals in Pennsylvania who may or may not be approved for any services, those whose needs range from wanting to learn more about safe and healthy long-term care resources and options to those who would like an advocate to assist in navigating the resources and paperwork in their local County Assistance Office.
By volunteering at PA Health Management, you will equip yourself by learning about resources available in Pennsylvania and your local community. You will gain a foundation of knowledge in available services, their application processes and contacts necessary to navigate the application processes.
